Differences between ROSH certification and REACH certification

Classification of REACH 

The cost of REACH certification should be divided into metal raw materials and non-metallic raw materials according to the material type of the test target. Metal raw materials are composed of inorganic products, and some substances in REACH-SVHC will only be contained in organic matter.

 Metal REACH testing project 

The new version of the European REACH standard has been updated to 219 items, REACH testing according to different materials, the items that need to be tested are divided into metal test projects and non-metal test projects. For metal products, REACH testing items are REACH 71; For non-metallic materials, REACH testing items are 219.

Can REACH test report directly replace RoHS report?

First, it needs to be clear that electronic and electrical products placed on the EU market must meet the requirements of the RoHS directive and REACH regulations at the same time. The RoHS Directive is an industry-specific directive that restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction requirements of chemicals under REACH affect almost all products, including electrical and electronic products. Secondly, the RoHS Directive does not affect the application of the REACH regulation and vice versa. Where overlapping requirements occur, more stringent requirements should apply. In addition, in the regular review of the RoHS directive, the European Commission for the Environment will also analyze its consistency with REACH regulations to ensure the consistency between the RoHS directive and REACH. 

As a printing factory, the materials of our products such as paper hang tags, color cards, stickers, woven label, printed labels, wash care labels, Zipper plastic bags , including paper, ink, plastic raw materials, yarn will also involve the EU environmental certification.Customers require RoHS reports, but we have REACH reports, can we directly take REACH reports to customers? Will customers accept the direct replacement of RoHS reports with REACH reports?
